Voting continues until February 17th so feel free to continue to vote as many times as you can.
Also, I've made a promise that if I happen to win the popular vote I will be donating a third of the cash winnings to the charity of the fans vote! So please keep up the great work! (I'd give it all but I have to move out from under this bridge at some point)
For anyone reading this that has no clue what hootie-shout I'm talking about you may find more information at my profile at the MusicOz site. ---> HERE
Now, I'd like to dedicate the rest of this humble blog to others whom I believe are doing great work and are in need of more support.
Recently I purchased a piece of great art from an independent artist run website called MyBonnieandClyde.com headed by Ms. Caroline Bolter. I really believe all the independent artists featured throughout her site have some really fun, intriguing, and compelling work available. And honestly, grass-roots places such as this one are where the vivid ideas fueling real art comes from! Give me an example of an artistic movement in the past five-hundred years that didn't stem from a talented, hard working artist(s) or one(s) governmentally or corporately funded and I'll eat my words. Sure, Michelangelo was commissioned by the church to paint the brilliant fresco that adorns the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, but such brilliance started far before resulting in The Last Judgement that we all know so well today. Better yet, take for example the American Beat movement of the 1950s. I assure you Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, and Jack Kerouac's work was born well before and out of more than the popularly contemporary defined idea of "Beat".
Anyway, I think I've made my point, or not. Either way please check out www.mybonnieandclyde.com and help support talented independent artists!
Another independant artist I'd like to take the time to feature here is Ms. Alison Rosen.
She has helped me with aspects of my live show including performance anxieties that has led me to be a more solid performer. And with her cornucopia of accolades and credits she is quite qualified to do so. Beyond being a regular television personality and columnist Alison also hosts a weekly webshow via Ustream called Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend where she interviews todays up-and-coming new talents and uses her comedic talents to comment on contemporary issues. I recommend that everyone swing by her website to check out the fun! She can be found through these links... http://alisonrosen.com/blog/, http://twitter.com/AlisonRosen and http://www.ustream.tv/AlisonRosen
This all being said, I'm off to scour the interweb for fresh talented artists of all disciplines to feature here next.
-me.
